Student Registration – Applying Process

Living with a homestay family is a great life experience.  Long lasting friendship are often formed between students and homestay family members.  Students have the opportunity in a safe family setting to learn about a new culture, as well as practice and improve language skills.

Come and live this experience with a Minerva Homestay family in the Greater Montreal area.

In order to complete your homestay reservation in a host family, below please find the application process :

Step 1 – Fill out our student registration form questionnaire located at http://minervahomestay.com/student-registration/.  It will normally take you about 10-15 minutes to complete this form.  We understand it may not be possible for you to provide all information such as your flight details at the time your form is submitted, yet please provide as much information as possible.  It is important we are advised if you have any food allergies and/or allergies/phobias to pets.  Once your student registration form questionnaire is complete, be sure to click “submit” at the bottom of the page.

Step 2 – Receive and pay your invoice How to pay your registration and homestay fees?  Once you have received your invoice, there are several ways for you to pay.  For payment options, see our website https://minervahomestay.com/payment/.

Step – 3 Receive your homestay profile The homestay profile includes the names and photos of family members as well as photos of the home, the civic address, email address, phone number, as well as the biography of your homestay family.  The travel parameters from your homestay to your educational institution are also indicated on the homestay family profile.  Rest assured your homestay family will ensure you know how to travel to school from their home via public transit.

Step 4 – Homestay confirmation of acceptance Once you have sent us your homestay confirmation of acceptance, we recommend that you send an introductory email to your homestay family as to open the lines of communication.  Email remains the best form of communication with your homestay prior to your arrival.  Be sure to monitor your inbox/junk mail folders as to be certain you have received the email correspondence.  Note, it is normal that your host family may only reply to your email after a few days.
